Als informatiespecialist onderzoek geef je vorm aan de onderzoeksondersteuning die vanuit 2Bergen voorzien wordt voor de groep Biomedische Wetenschappen. Je fungeert als aanspreekpunt voor vragen rond Research Data Management (RDM). Je ondersteunt het schrijven van Data Management Plannen door onderzoekers in de Biomedische Wetenschappen. Je geeft gedetailleerd discipline-specifiek advies rond datatypes, metadata-standaarden, data documentatie, data repositories, datapreservatie en datasharing. Je ondersteunt onderzoekers op gebied van data retrieval. Je helpt hen met het zoeken naar data ter ondersteuning van hun onderzoek in o.a. data journals, data repositories, … en het hergebruik ervan. Je verleent gepersonaliseerd advies inzake de mogelijkheden van verschillende interne en externe repositories en inzake het klaarmaken van datasets voor deponering in zo’n repository. The Royal Military Academy is also conducting scientific research at university level for projects funded by the Belgian Defense department or external sources. In the framework of the research & development project iMUGS (integrated Modular Unmanned Ground System), funded by the European Commission¿s European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP) and conducted in collaboration with other major defence, communication and cybersecurity companies and high-tech SME partners, we are looking for a full-time research scientist/engineer with a Master or PhD/doctoral degree in Applied Sciences / Engineering / Physics / Computer Science in the field of Robotics (Unmanned Systems) & Artificial Intelligence (AI). Description of the function During the project, a modular and scalable architecture for hybrid manned-unmanned systems will be developed to standardize a European-wide ecosystem for aerial and ground platforms, command, control and communication equipment, sensors, payloads, and algorithms. The prototype system will utilize an existing unmanned ground vehicle and a specific list of payloads. The outcome of the project should be demonstrated in operational environments and relevant climatic conditions as part of participating member states military exercises or at separate testing grounds. The research engineer / scientist will be a part of the ¿Robotics & Autonomous Systems - RAS¿ Unit of the Department of Mechanics. The successful candidate will be integrated in the Swarming subproject team within the iMUGS project. The goal of the Swarming subproject is to provide advancements of swarming technologies in order to expand the capabilities of a unique robot where heterogeneous assets will have the capability to work as a group with a common mission or multiple mission objectives. The developed work should aim to bridge existing practical gaps between theory and implementation of scalable multi-agent collaboration and optimization which should ensure operations in mission-critical unstructured outdoor environments. In order to execute such complex missions, the challenging existing gaps related to the timely and compact rendering and structuring of data need to be solved. Two types of swarming optimizations will be developed: local and global optimization. The swarming/autonomy framework should be developed as platform-agnostic, enabling integration to unmanned ground platforms and adaptation to current manned vehicles. The developed framework should furthermore be capable of expedited deployment and interoperable with existing command and control and manned operations. In addition, the successful candidate will also help to prepare, define requirements and setting up measurement of a large-scale demonstration and test campaigns within a land/coastal environments to test and showcase the capabilities of the iMUGS system, with the goal of performing various types of missions such as Beyond Visual Line of Sight ISR reconnaissance missions in a swarming manner (more than one UGV). Functieomschrijving Business Context Je bent een data-scientist ter ondersteuning & uitbreiding van het team marktanalyse dat binnen De Lijn fungeert als expertisecentrum voor beheersinformatie, data-exploratie, -analyse en rapporteringstechnieken. Gezien de prioriteit van het oppervlaktebergingsproject voor laagactief en/of kortlevend afval, spitsen onze activiteiten zich in eerste instantie toe op de behoeften waarin voor dit dossier moet worden voorzien, zonder de andere prioriteiten uit het oog te verliezen. We zijn op zoek naar een Data Scientist om ons multidisciplinair team te vervoegen. Hij zal belast zijn met het voorstellen van een strategie en een aanpak voor het gegevensbeheer, rekening houdend met de huidige situatie en prioriteiten. Hij zal verbeteringen aan de relationele modellen van de databases voorstellen en de masterdata bepalen. Il s’agit d’une équipe pluridisciplinaire composée, entre autres, de data scientists, digital analysts, campaign programmers, data analysts et data managers. Customer Data Analytics est dirigé conjointement par Belfius Banque et Belfius Insurance. Le data scientist travaillera au sein du périmètre de Belfius Insurance pour la marque DVV, en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe responsable de la marque Belfius Assurances et de nombreuses autres équipes (DVV commercial data warehouse, marketing & sales, digital, encadrement, IT…). Outre le domaine Customer Data Analytics DVV, le data scientist contribuera également à des initiatives analytiques transversales, en collaboration avec d'autres business units.
