Be part of our Network Team. Your mission You lead the analysis, development and implementation of new solutions or make evolve existing ones (i.e. based on business, operational or regulatory requirements,) on the Packet Core technical domain. You have the end-to-end responsibility for taking all the appropriate actions from the requirements to the move in production. As a Senior Solutions Engineer – Packet Core, you will: Analyze and assess technical solutions and evolution to fulfil business, regulatory and operational (functional and capacity) requirements Lead medium to large size implementation projects and coordinate (and coach if necessary) a core team for the solution or evolution implementation Write functional and technical specifications and requests for proposal. Evaluate and make recommendations for the future considering the technical evolutions on the market Define in collaboration with the supplier, the technical part of the contract (Scope of Work, Project Management Plan, Professional Services). Supports purchasing (i.e. cost of services) and analyze the requests for proposals (supplier selection). Generate methods, procedure and technical documents regarding technical solution and evolution (architecture, impact analysis). Conduct the implementation of the technical solutions (in collaboration with the integration engineers if needed) Act as a technical interface with Orange Group, suppliers, other operators, regulatory institutions, to gather requirements and technical solutions, challenge Orange Belgium (OBE) or Group solutions Analyze performance statistics/indicators, network behavior, operational processes, tools, and service architectures; identify gaps, problems and risks and make recommendations on improvement opportunities Your profile Bachelor degree in a telecommunications/IT technology or equivalent level of experience Min. 5 years of experience in the technical domain Packet Core Knowledge of Networks, Telecommunications, IT environment and IP protocols. Experience with remote overseas operation teams (Europe) Communication skills as well as listening skills Customer orientated and service minded Team player Fluent English. Dutch or French will be a plus Your specific expertise: Packet Core : Experience with: Ericsson Dual Mode Core, EPG (S-PGW), SGSN-MME, WMG (ePDG), SAPC (PCRF), DNS (IP Works), ENM Private Mobile Radio and B2B services over Mobile Packet Core Experience with 5G SA features would be a plus Experience with Signaling (DRF, SCP) would be a plus Deep knowledge of: Trends in networking industry and servers products (Dell) Network Operations Support Systems and corresponding protocols (SNMP, Syslog, fault management, performance management, inventory, etc.) Good knowledge of mobile telecommunication services and technologies General : Strong analytical skills including data collection and analyzing, reporting, problem handling etc. Capable of finding and processing technical documentation and data Experience with remote overseas operation teams (Europe) Extensive knowledge and experience with project management Specific requirement: A positive security advice from the National Security Authority is required for this role and the HR team will support you in the process after contract signature. You work autonomously but in close collaboration with the rest of the MWingz IT team and the MWingz Network teams. You manage multiple projects and/or work streams in different solution areas : network inventory & configuration, roll-out project tracking, network operations & maintenance (alarms, network incidents, network changes), data integration between MWingz applications, data interfaces with external companies, etc. As Solution Analyst – Architect, you work on different activities : Managing Solution Design and Architecture : you collaborate with cross-department teams to understand business requirements and objectives. You design, develop, and document end-to-end IT solutions that align with business needs. You provide architectural guidance for system design, integration, and implementation, thereby working in collaboration with external implementation partners. Requirements Gathering & Elaboration : you work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyse functional and non-functional requirements. You translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs. Collaboration : you are involved day-to-day in implementation work, thereby facilitating transversal collaboration (implementation team, business teams/different departments, IT technical & security team), to ensure the successful implementation of solutions. You participate in different work meetings and provide technical expertise and guidance. Quality Assurance and Testing : you conduct architectural reviews to ensure solutions align with established standards and guidelines. You work with implementation team and business teams to develop and execute test plans to validate solution functionality and performance. Technical Analysis : you conduct in-depth analysis of existing systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. You evaluate candidate technologies and trends to recommend state-of-the-art solutions. Supplier Relation Management and Contract Management : you organize recurrent meetings, monitor and review results and quality from external implementation partners. You manage continuous improvement initiatives for the supplier’s scope of activities. Your specific expertise Strong knowledge of IT software technologies (web, database and integration technologies, programming languages, ..) and system architecture and design patterns Knowledge of Telecom and specifically with Mobile Network technologies (2G GSM / 3G UMTS / 4G LTE / 5G NR) Knowledge of software products related to telecom Operations Support Solutions (OSS) Familiar with telecom organizations and activities like radio network configuration, radio network design, radio network operations, radio network optimisation Proven knowledge of software analysis, and software design techniques Proven experience in software development methodologies (waterfall/agile) and in working with development partners Your profile You have a master degree, with good knowledge of software solutions, software technologies and software development methods. Minimum experience: 5 years in Telecom and/or Software. You have knowledge/experience in Telecommunications Networks (especially radio access networks). You have excellent communication skills. You are structured, analytical, detail-oriented and a true team player You are proactive and autonomous. Bi-lingual : English and Dutch or French.
