Deadline Date: Tuesday 16 April 2024Requirement: Software Support Center (JSSC) System EngineerLocation: Mons, BE Full Time On-Site: YesTime On-Site: 100%Total Scope of the request (hours): 1114Required Start Date: 27 May 2024End Contract Date: 31 December 2024 Required Security Clearance: NATO SECRETDuties and Role:The Engineer will have to:Install, maintain, monitor and support the JSSC applications (CSD, ICMT, AOSS, Namis initially + CoreGIS, Intel-FS, ANB, Release Server, HMART in a second phase) mainly in support of Operations, NST program support, SME007, NATO exercises, and when these requests/exercises are not being planned, prepared for or executed, to be able to support the mentioned systems for current Operations, under the CSLA.Provide timely response and resolution to all support tickets (incidents, service requests and changes) following the internal processesEscalate issues to level 3 support team as appropriate, support in the troubleshooting and debugging of found issuesOffer Subject Matter Expertise for the JSSC applications to the user community and to COIsInvolvement in User Acceptance Testing for new software releases in both organizing and test executionApply patches and install ISR software updates, coordinate outagesParticipate in NRF/Enterprise CABs as needed to support new software releases in the validation and verification processProvide support in maintaining the NATO Software Factory infrastructure, user and rights management, software updates and internal activitiesInterface between JSSC applications and inter-operable FASes from other Service CentersBecome a reliable Level 2 support team member and provide the engineering bridge between the Level 2 and Level 3 support teamsEnsure the NATO Software Factory system setup matches the requirements for the Intel-FS Spiral 1 to Spiral 2 data migrationProvide other daily Level 2 support for the operational users, as requiredMake suggestions and proactive improvements based on gathered experience and best practicesRequirementsSkill, Knowledge & Experience:The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearanceExperienced system engineer with proven level 2 support roles in a multinational and/or military organisation of minimum 5 years in various roles (Windows Server Administration, Windows Client Administration, Active Directory Administration, Network Administrator, Storage solutions specialist, Virtualization, IIS web hosting, Linux hosting, Linux Administration)Microsoft SQL Server Administration knowledge (installation, configuration, maintenance, backup policies)Remote server administrationKnowledge of DNS, DHCP, WSUS, GPOsMS SQL scripting knowledge, data consistency and data clean- up based on consultation with the user community and development teamVery good virtualization skills, preferably on vmWare with System Center integrationAzure Devops experienceHardware and software configuration of Server hosting platforms, custom disk configurations with specific storage controllers, RAID configuration, redundancy and safety approach in all levels of designing in implementing of the solutionsGood knowledge of Powershell scripting and/or Pythonxml file manipulation, xsds validation and maintenance and automation done through Powershell/scriptingDesirable skills: previous knowledge of NATO FASes constitute and advantageDesirable: previous experience in NATO, FAS support, software lifecycle support, knowledge of NATO policies and process
