Launch new warehouse facilities from scratch, including acquiring equipment and staffing - Recruit, manage, mentor and train warehouse personnel including Warehouse Managers, Supervisors and Associates - Work with sorting engineering teams to develop and implement best in class sorting solutions - Maintain and improve ULD receiving, breakdown, crossdocking, outbound and fulfillment operations in a rapidly changing environment - Work with the transportation team to assure deliveries & shipments are complete and on schedule. - Ensure the physical condition of warehouse facilities and equipment are maintained by developing and implementing SOPs for warehouse managers - Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring health & safety procedures and protocols - Serve as a point of contact for escalated warehouse operation issues - Manage maintenance and preventative maintenance for equipment like sorting machine and forkliftsQualifications: - 8-10 years’ warehouse management experience, ideally experience in Airfreight or ecommerce warehouse operation - Proven track record of effective leadership and management experience - Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred - Ability to recruit and retain personnel at various seniority levels - Analytical skills, including the ability to assemble and organize disparate data sets to make operational decisions - Well organized with the ability function in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment - Experience in KPI management, with know-how in continuous improvement is a plus - Strong organizational skills, Outstanding collaboration and communication skills - Ability and desire to thrive in a high-pressure entrepreneurial environment, willing to get hands dirty - Fluent in English and French, any other EU language is a plus
